Manteno Girls Cross Country player sets school record at Nike Midwest Cross Country Regional

Girls Cross Country Klarke Goranson | Manteno High School

Manteno High School's Klarke Goranson set a new school record at the Nike Midwest Cross Country Regional on November 17.

Goranson surpassed the previous Manteno High record with a time of 18:43.6 in the 5k race. She competed against top runners from Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan, and Ohio.

According to reports, on November 9, Goranson finished sixth in the 2A Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state cross country meet, earning All-State honors. The ninth grader completed the race with a time of 17:08.16.
