Lupe G. Moreno, 92, of Manteno, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at her home. Born on May 18, 1932, in Chicago to Cruz Moreno and Maria Garcia, Lupe worked as a secretary for many years. Known for her generosity, Lupe contributed to various organizations benefiting children, animals, and veterans.

Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beatriz and Eduardo Padilla, grandchildren Susan (Mike) Granat-Chatlosh, Rolando (Yvette) Padilla, and Esperanza (Bryan) Degnan, great-grandchildren Billy, Alyssa, Jake, Logan, Nathan, and Oliver, and great-great-granddaughter Jordyn, as well as nieces, Theresa (Hector) Rico, Diane, DeDe, and numerous other great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by longtime companion Shig Mori, sisters Juanita and Susie, brother Concho, nieces Beba, Angela, nephew Fredrick, and great-nephew Anthony. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Germaine’s Catholic Church in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
